Legal information

Terms & conditions

This English version is provided for information only. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.

These terms and conditions apply to all makeup services offered by Stéphanie Manganelli.

1. Booking

Any booking is considered firm once a contract has been signed and a deposit paid. The sums paid on signing the contract constitute a deposit (arrhes), in accordance with Article 1590 of the French Civil Code.
If the client cancels, this deposit is non-refundable.
If the makeup artist cancels (except in cases of force majeure), the deposit will be fully refunded to the client.
The quote is valid for 10 days from its issue date.

2. Payment

The balance is due no later than the day of the service.
In the event of late payment, late-payment penalties will automatically apply in accordance with Article L441-10 of the French Commercial Code.
A fixed indemnity of €40 will also be charged for recovery costs, pursuant to Article D441-5.

3. Cancellation

3.1 Cancellation by the Client

The Client may cancel the service at any time in writing (email or registered letter). Cancellation fees are as follows:

  • More than 90 days before the wedding day: no fee, but the deposit is retained.
  • Between 60 and 90 days: 30% of the balance due.
  • Between 30 and 60 days: 50% of the balance due.
  • Less than 30 days: 100% of the balance due.

3.2 Cancellation by the Makeup Artist

In the event of force majeure or exceptional inability to perform the service, the Makeup Artist reserves the right to terminate the contract.
In such a case, the deposit will be fully refunded, unless a replacement solution is found and accepted by both parties.

3.3 Changes

No change to the date, time, location or number of services on the wedding day may be made after the contract is signed, except for additions.
Any change request is considered a cancellation by the Client and subject to the conditions above.

4. Force majeure

The following are considered cases of force majeure:

  • Natural disasters (storms, floods, earthquakes, etc.)
  • Health crises (epidemics, pandemics, government restrictions)
  • Armed conflicts (wars, riots, terrorist attacks)
  • Death of the Client or a close relative
  • Hospitalisation or serious illness

5. Image rights

The Client authorises the Makeup Artist to use photographs of her makeup for communication purposes (website, social media, portfolio, etc.).
Should she refuse, the Client must inform the Makeup Artist in writing before the service.

6. Governing law

These terms and conditions are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought. Failing that, the courts of the service provider’s jurisdiction shall have sole jurisdiction.
